Mourners have been asked to wear a “splash of pink” when they attend Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s funeral later this month.A service will be held for the nine-year-old in Liverpool on 15 September, according to a funeral director’s notice.
“Family requested everyone to wear a splash of pink,” the message on the website of Debbie Bennett Funeral Directors said.”Olivia will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.”Funeral Mass at St Margaret Mary’s Church, Pilch Lane, Dovecot on 15 September at 11am, followed by a private burial.”
The church, next to her school, held a vigil for Olivia on Wednesday.

Olivia died after being shot in her home in the Dovecot area of Liverpool at about 10pm on Monday 22 August while a gunman was chasing convicted burglar Joseph Nee.The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest, a post-mortem examination found.Her mother Cheryl was also injured and is still receiving treatment for her wounds, police said.

Officers investigating Olivia’s murder have released CCTV footage of the gunman running away from the scene as they continue their hunt for him.Olivia was scooped up by police and taken to hospital after being shot, as an officer tried to save her by using his hand to cover the chest wound, an inquest has heard.A 36-year-old man from Huyton and a 33-year-old from Dovecot were arrested on suspicion of murder and two counts of attempted murder in relation to Olivia’s death last week and have been released on bail.
