N.J. cop who killed estranged wife sentenced to nearly 80 years in prison
A Newark police lieutenant recently convicted of gunning down his estranged wife outside her Morris County home was sentenced Monday to 79 years in state prison, authorities said.
John Formisano, 52, formerly of Jefferson Township, was found guilty in October of killing Christie Solaro-Formisano and attempting to kill her new boyfriend during the same attack, according to a statement from the Morris County Prosecutors Office.
