See Massachusetts primary election results as voters pick nominees for top state offices

Polls closed at 8 p.m. in most of Massachusetts Tuesday night as voters finalized their picks for a number of high-profile races across the state.

In primary elections for the governors office, Attorney General Maura Healey won an expected victory early Tuesday night as the last major Democratic candidate active campaigning for her partys nomination. She will face former state Rep. Geoff Diehl, the candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump who defeated Chris Doughty, a Wrentham business owner and more-moderate candidate in the race for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.

With Healeys victory all but assured heading into Tuesdays election, the race for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor drew special attention. Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll defeated state Sen. Eric Lesser and state Rep. Tami Gouveia. Lesser conceded the race to Driscoll around 10 p.m.

Other high-profile races include the Republican primary for lieutenant governor, primaries for attorney general and secretary of state, and a district attorneys race in Boston.Statewide racesCongressDistrict attorney racesState SenateState House of RepresentativesGovernors CouncilSheriff races
